Polo ponies will thunder across the newly mowed fields at Conyers Farm in backcountry Greenwich for the last event of the season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19. Polo enthusiasts, dressed to the nines and sipping glasses of wine or champagne, will enjoy the matchup of Emerging Traders vs. Churchill's at the Victory Cup Games.
Long before the match begins, regular spectators will begin arriving to set up their tents and picnic spreads in front of the polo field. According to Jen Danzi, Victory Cup spokeswoman, the event offer a Ferrari Club Breakfast and Road Rally, a VIP tent with lunch catered by Polpo, a dog parade in which the winner will receive a $500 gift card, and fly-casting with DPS Sporting Clubs. DPS has also donated a trip for two to the Turks and Caicos that will be raffled. Danzi said it would be a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy polo.
