Pitch In to Plant at Riverside Train Station

GREENWICH, Conn. — Residents will put their shovels to the dirt Saturday and plant flowers at Riverside Train Station for a community beautification day sponsored by the Riverside Garden Club, Riverside Association and Greenwich Green and Clean.

The town hands out mulch, but the garden club picks out the flowers, including perennials, annuals and marigolds. The groups are encouraging families and community members to join in beautifying the station.

Residents who want to participate must bring their own gardening tools, including gloves and shovels, and meet at the station house side from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5. For more information, contact Nancy Weissler by phone at 203-637-8548 or by email.
