Party For a Cause at the Firehouse

Let's call it a block party weekend. The Round Hill Volunteer Fire Company will host a fundraiser Saturday for a new fire truck and renovations to the station.

"We hope to raise about $2 million through an ongoing fundraiser," said Fire Chief Rick Strain. "A new fire truck alone will cost close to $500,000."

Strain anticipates a huge turnout thanks to all the different activities. "We will have a dunk tank, rides for kids on the fire truck, fire safety education, a climbing wall and numerous bouncy castles and bounce slide."

The party will be at the fire station at 166 West Old Mill Road from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food will also be provided by the firehouse.
