Nieces Remember Their "Crazy Aunt"

Kerry Jeanne Krebsbach (Robbins) passed away at home in Greenwich, of pancreatic cancer, on August 8, 2010. She was 58. Her family said she faced the ordeal with “strength and grace.” Her nieces, including Kaitlin and Ali, remembered her as their dear “crazy aunt."

Ms. Krebsbach was born and raised in California and attended Santa Clara University. After living many years in San Francisco, she came to Connecticut and worked in the trust department of Wachovia Bank. Among other things, she loved gardening—an activity her family described described as “moving this plant here, that plant there, then moving all plants back to their original positions.” That’s a design system any gardener would recognize.

She is survived by her husband Mercer Robbins; twin sister Mary Lou; sisters Jacquelyn, Lolita, and Clare; brother Tom; many in-laws; and nephews and nieces. A celebration of Kerry's life will be held Tuesday, August 10, at 6 Fitch Lane, Riverside, from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245.
