Make a Holiday Playdate at the Bruce

The Bruce Museum has some activities lined up over the holidays that might appeal to kids with a flair for the dramatic. "Vacation Workshops: Paper Theaters" is being offered to children from grades 1 through 3. Participants will be able to explore the museum’s Paper Theaters exhibit, then work on their own project. The workshops run for three days -- Dec. 28-30 -- from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Here is a rundown of activities:

Dec. 28: Kids will be able to create their own cardboard box theater.

Dec. 29: The puppeteers out there will be able to create their own cast of puppets from a popular play.

Dec. 30: Kids who enjoy the behind-the-scenes aspect of plays get to create background and props for their own production.

Workshops are $5 for members, $7 for non-members. The museum strongly encourages reserving a space. For more information, call (203) 869-0376.
