Teens stopped by Greenwich Library Thursday afternoon to kick a few balls around. But don't worry, they didn't break any windows. They were scoring goals on an Xbox.
It's part of "Thursdays Are for Teens" which started this week and includes video games like the FIFA World Cup soccer challenge and movie showings. The program will design a teen center and create a teen council at the library.
"We are the voice of the teens," said Carol Mahoney, Director of Greenwich Library.
The program is aimed at 6th 12th grade. The library is eager to invite more high school students into their programs. Margaret Walsh, a teen services librarian, said that they like to focus on programs that teens like and have the library not just be a place for studying and books.
