GREENWICH, Conn. - Here is a letter of endorsement of Board of Education candidate Anna Saras Povinelli from resident Fred B. Graham III:
As a Greenwich resident with two small children and a vested interest in the future integrity and competence of the local board of education, I'm fervently endorsing Anna Povinelli. Anna and I worked together for a local investment firm for nearly 2 1/2 years, where she served as chief compliance officer.
As her colleague, I can attest to her diligence, meticulousness, passion for her convictions and supreme dedication to her responsibilities. During times when increased financial regulation required the utmost scrutiny, Mrs. Povinelli excelled as CCO.
I was fortunate enough to interact with all four of Mrs. Povinelli's children (8 to 15 years of age). On every occasion, the Povinelli children epitomized the expectations borne of sound parenting: from respect to intelligence to enthusiasm for homework and athletics to pitching-in at home.
I am confident that Mrs. Povinelli will bring the same set of standards she's practiced as a professional and mother to the Greenwich BOE, and I earnestly believe there is no better candidate anywhere in Fairfield County. On Nov. 8, make the decision that's unequivocally in the best interest of our childrens futures, and vote Anna Povinelli, Greenwich Board of Education.
