Anne Morris will speak at 6:30 p.m. at the YMCA, 50 E. Putnam Ave., as part of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Morris is a tireless advocate for breast cancer awareness.

The American Cancer Society estimates there will be more than 250,000 new cases of breast cancer in 2013 and nearly 40,000 will die from breast cancer.

The YMCA of Greenwich was founded more than 97 years ago in 1916. Today, it is the largest community-based organization in Greenwich with more than 5,000 members dedicated to healthy living, youth development and social responsibility through athletics and life-long learning programs in order to nurture the potential of all in its community.
