Local children got an opportunity to send a piece of home to our servicemen and women with the help of the Greenwich branch of the American Red Cross and My Favorite Place. On Nov. 13, children and their families took part in the Red Cross' first Holiday Cards for Heroes event at the eatery. Each card made by a child will be sent to a service member stationed overseas.
