GREENWICH, Conn. Jean C. Larsen of Greenwich died on May 4. She was 84.
Larsen was born June 22, 1927 in Port Chester, N.Y., to Alexander and Katrine Jensen Layton, Jr. She attended Greenwich Public Schools and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1945.
She worked for several different companies, including Homelite in Port Chester and Fawcett Publications in Greenwich. Larsen enjoyed taking trips to Lake George, Lake Placid and many other areas in New York state.
Larsen loved collecting knick-knacks and stuffed animals, playing board games and card games and gardening. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She also loved animals and kept several guinea pigs and parakeets as pets.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Steven Larsen; a brother, William Layton; a sister, Joan Layton Sadler; two brother-in-laws, Richard Larsen and Robert Crawford; three nephews and two nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Crawford.
Funeral services and burial are private. Arrangements are being handled by Castiglione Funeral Home.
