Holiday Boutique to Benefit Lyme Group

Jump start your holiday shopping for a good cause with the second annual Holiday Boutique and Appraisal Day hosted by Time for Lyme. Time for Lyme board members Dr. Harriet Kotsoris, Ba Edwards, Debbie Siciliano and Dana McAvity helped organize the boutique and appraisal day set for 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Christ Church Parish Hall at 254 E. Putnam Ave.

A portion of the money spent for interesting and unique gifts at the sale will be given to Time for Lyme to fund research and education about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

Lark E. Mason, Jr., owner of igavelauctions.com, an online art auction site, and Helen F. Kippax of the Antiques Brokerage House Ltd., an art consulting and appraisal business, will be on hand to appraise heirlooms from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items will be appraised for a fee of $20 per item or $50 for three items. All proceeds from these appraisals will be donated to Time for Lyme. Customers can bring the item or a digital photo of the item for the appraisal. Volunteers will be standing by to help with large items and will hold places in line while people shop until their appraisal time is called.
