GREENWICH, Conn. You can hear stories of personal heroes straight from the mouths and memories of your friends and neighbors at the historical societys Story Barn event, My Hero! in conjunction with the latest exhibition Everyday Heroes: Greenwich First Responders.
The Story Barn is a contemporary approach to oral history in a cabaret-like setting started by resident and comedian Bonnie Levensen, who will emcee the My Hero! event. A cast of storytellers will share true, five- to seven-minute standup, standout and personal tales on the theme of personal heroes.
The Story Barn will be held Friday, Nov. 4, with a lineup led by Greenwich Fire Chief Peter Siecienski and feature longtime resident Isabel Malkin and raconteur Terry Betteridge.
Admission is $10 for historical society members and $15 for nonmembers. The Story Barn will be held at the Greenwich Historical Society's Vanderbilt Education Center, 39 Strickland Road, Cos Cob. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
