As part of the symposium, the museum has invited 14 scholars to share their latest research. The topic will be Madagascar.
Graduate students, postdocs and faculty will share their latest research and findings about the natural history of Madagascar; the guest scholars will be from the following educational institutions and museums:

- City University of New York - Hunter College
- Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
- New York University
- Pennsylvania State University
- State University of New York at Stony Brook
- University of Connecticut
- University of Massachusetts Amherst
The symposium is open to the public, and admission is free.
