Greenwich Seniors Enjoy Summertime Treat

GREENWICH, Conn. – Seniors at Greenwich Adult Day Care River House began summer off on the right foot with a treat from Polar Pete’s Ice Cream, sponsored by Greenwich Bank & Trust.

On the first day of summer during last week's heat wave, Polar Pete’s Ice Cream truck pulled up to the front door of River House to welcome a line of seniors who chose their favorite flavors. Once they had their ice cream in hand, they returned to the air-conditioned activity room in River House to enjoy.

“The ice cream was excellent. It was a wonderful occasion and so nice of them to do this for us,” River House member, Katherine, said in a statement.

David Moore, vice president of Greenwich Bank & Trust, said in a statement, “I was just glad to help the seniors usher in the summer, and I was delighted to see just how much they seemed to enjoy it.”
