Come and hear stories from Greenwich residents from the Battle of the Bulge to the Battle of the Sexes at the Greenwich Historical Society's next Story Barn event, themed "Pick Your Battles."
The storytelling event will focus on the subject of conflict in connection with the upcoming exhibition, Voices from the Civil War, which explores the events from the viewpoint of Greenwich residents.
The Story Barn is a contemporary approach to oral history started by resident and comedian Bonnie Levensen, who will emcee the "Pick Your Battles" event. The Story Barn lineup includes professional comedians Jane Condon and Brad Zimmerman as well as raconteurs Ina Chadwick, Rabbi Mitch Hurvitz of Temple Sholom, Catherine Ladnier, Ted Pryor, George Skakel and Roxanne Vanderbilt, among others.
Admission for the event is $10 for historical society members and $15 for nonmembers. The Story Barn will be held at the Greenwich Historical Society's Vanderbilt Education Center, 39 Strickland Road, Cos Cob. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
