The rating is based on 2013 data reported by local libraries to their state library agencies and compiled by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
"We are honored to be consistently recognized at the highest level by Library Journal," said Barbara Ormerod-Glynn, the library's director. "This acknowledgement is directly tied to the community's use and value of the library and its resources.
"This year has been an exciting one, with access to new online resources such as The New York Times.com, video instruction from Lynda.com, as well as dramatic increases in patron demand for streaming and downloadable music, movies, magazines, eBooks and eAudiobooks to complement our physical collections.”
