Greenwich Land Trust Youth Corps Working On Gardens

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Land Trust Youth Corps has been planting and maintaining the raised bed gardens on its Mueller Preserve, according to a press release.

The produce they harvest throughout the summer will be donated to Neighbor-to-Neighbor. The purpose of the youth corps is to provide local teens with a first paid "real job" that will allow them to develop work skills, deepen their understanding of conservation issues, contribute to their community and learn about career opportunities in environmental-related fields, according to a press release.
