GREENWICH, Conn. Greenwich Hospitals cancer specialists know when it comes to cancer, no two patients are the same, and what works best for one person may not be the best answer for another.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 9 to 11 a.m., Greenwich Library will host a panel discussion and question-and-answer session featuring six leading cancer specialists from Greenwich Hospital.
In recent years, Greenwich Hospitals Cancer Institute has been involved in programs that use advances in medical technology and cancer biology, making early diagnosis easier and medical treatments more effective and less debilitating.
At the seminar, learn how cancer cells that were previously difficult to reach can now be targeted while sparing surrounding healthy cells and tissue. And bring your questions about prevention, diagnosis, treatment and healing.
Speakers will include:
Breast cancer: breast surgeon Dr. Barbara Ward
Colon cancer: general surgeon Dr. Bruce Molinelli
Lung cancer: thoracic surgeon Dr. Paul Waters
Prostate cancer: urologist Dr. Jeffrey Ranta
Chemotherapy: medical oncologist Dr. Dickerman Hollister
Radiation therapy: radiation oncologist Dr. Daniel Chamberlain
Check in starts at 8:30 a.m. To register call 203-863-4277 or 888-305-9253, or register online.
