The Greenwich pet of the week is Boomer, a 6-year-old boxer mix who was found hobbling along a street in Queens, N.Y., extremely neglected. He was taken to a shelter, and a few days later Adopt-A-Dog found that it was a kill shelter and he was scheduled for euthanasia. He has been doing well, except for a few skin conditions that are healing and under veterinary care. Boomer is a sweet, loving dog who is good with other dogs, cats and kids. He loves playing with his ball and Frisbee and is house-trained, crate-trained and walks well on a leash.
To learn more about Boomer, call Adopt-A-Dog at (203) 629-9494 or visit Adopt-A-Dog at its shelter at 23 Cox Ave., Armonk, N.Y. Adopt-A-Dog is a nonprofit that serves Connecticut and New York.
