The Garden Education Center of Greenwich as a busy weekend ahead as it hosts its ninth annual Holiday Tea on Friday and its Family Trimmings party on Saturday.
The Holiday Tea from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Friday will feature perfectly cut tea sandwiches for ladies of all ages, face painting and other activities for kids, and a silent auction and live auction featuring Simon Teakle of Betteridge Jewelers for the adults. Seating is limited. The cost is $25 for adults, $10 for children over 4 or $250 for a table for eight. Required preregistration can be completed online.
The trimmings event from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday will include breakfast with Santa for the family. Guests can also decorate miniature trees for $25 or gingerbread men for $3, or make a pinecone bird feeder for $5. Photo ornaments can be purchased for $6. The cost to attend is $6 for adults, $4 for children and free for children under 4, but all people and activities must be purchased online in advance.
