A film about environmental toxins and their possible link to cancer outbreaks will be screened at Audubon Greenwich Friday night.
"Living Downstream" draws the connection between the health of people and the health of the environment through the story of Sandra Steingraber, biologist, poet and cancer survivor and author of the book on which the film is based. The filmmakers follow invisible toxins as they migrate through North America and explore how chemicals enter the body and why scientists believe they are making people sick.
The event includes a wine, cheese and snacks reception at 6 p.m. followed by the screening at 7. The cost is $15 per person. Due to limited space, RSVPs are required.
