Egg Hunting Season Opens Saturday in Greenwich

Kids will scramble for 16,000 stuffed eggs Saturday at the “Annual Egg Hunt” sponsored by the Greenwich Lions Club and ShopRite.

Over 16,000 eggs are being stuffed by volunteers from the Lions Club. They will be hidden on two fields at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. As usual there will be separate hunts for three age groups — from toddlers to teens.

Gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday and the “hunts” start at 10:30. The admission price of $10 includes “activity tickets” for snacks, temporary tattoos and face painting. Tickets will be on sale at the gate and in advance at McDonald’s, Patriot Bank in Stamford and Greenwich and Griff Harris Insurance in Cos Cob.
