GREENWICH, Conn. A descendant of one of Greenwichs oldest families, the Lyons, will discuss the familys history and their home in a talk at the Bruce Museum on Sunday, March 4.
Julia Pollock will share the history of the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. The family lived in the Thomas Lyon House from the 18th to the 20th centuries. It is believed to be the oldest unaltered house in Greenwich, built in about 1695. It is the Greenwich Preservation Trust's current restoration and preservation project.
The Lyon House is also the focus the museums new exhibition, Greenwich Lost and Found, featuring photographs, paintings and artifacts from private collections, opening Saturday, March 3.
The lecture is open to the public and free with museum admission. A reception will follow the talk. Reservations are recommended. Call the museum at 203-869-0376 for more information.
