Christ Church To Hear Call to Social Action

Social justice activist Dr. Tony Campolo will urge parishioners and guests at Christ Church Greenwich to question what it means to live a spiritual life Sunday, Jan. 9.

Campolo, a Baptist minister and former professor of sociology, will speak at 9:30 a.m. during a church “Conversations on Courage and Faith” event. The talk is open to the public.

Ian Cron, curator of the "Conversations on Courage and Faith" series, said Campolo uses his experiences with social justice, activism and religion to direct people in their  search for faith.

Campolo founded the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education and has worked to create programs for at-risk children across the U.S. He has written over 35 books and has appeared on a variety of television programs.

The workshop will be followed by a book signing at 10:30. For more information, email info@courageandfaith.org.
