Bookends Band To Perform In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the Bookends Band will be in concert from 7:15-8:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

The rain date is Thursday June 30.

The band's repertoire primarily is cover material from the family-friendly Baby Boom era. They play an eclectic mix of covers from the1960s and '70s, including the Beatles, Johnny Cash, Credence Clearwater Revival and much more.

Their strength is in their vocals with five different lead singers, which keeps the sound fresh from song to song, allowing them to cover a wide range of music, according to a press release. The Bookends Band plays concerts all around the tri-state area.

Bring the lawn chairs, or blanket, picnic dinner and come enjoy the music under the stars. For more information, please call the Recreation Office at 203-618-6479 or visit www.greenwichct.org. The rain cancellation line is 203-861-6100 after 4 p.m.
