Fugitive Colors by Barr tells the story of an artist seeking revenge after World War II. Its the winner of the gold metal in the Independent Publishers Book Award for Best Literary Fiction 2014. The book has also been optioned for movie development by producer Arthur Sarkissian, who has worked on the Rush Hour trilogy and While You Were Sleeping. Barr, a journalist for 20 years, has served as editor of the Jerusalem Post, and managing editor of Moment Magazine, as well as Todays Chicago Woman.
Unstill Life: A Daughters Memoir of Art and Love in the Age of Abstraction, by Selz depicts her coming of age in the celebrity art world. Her father Peter Selz was chief curator of painting and sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art. Selz has published magazines including The New Yorker and The New York Times. She writes art reviews for The Huffington Post.
