Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom Of Greenwich Hosts Healthy Living Benefit

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich will introduce its Healthy Living special event series with a talk from Diane Smith, co-author of "Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction – And My Own."

The free event, a benefit for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, will take place at the ballroom on  Wednesday.

“Arthur Murray’s philosophy is that dance can make a difference in your life and the lives of others. We are honored to host Diane Smith and this free event for the community. Giving back to one of my favorite organizations, The Food Bank of Fairfield County makes it all the more meaningful,” Christine Georgopulo, owner of Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich, said in a statement.

In the book, Smith and co-author Mika Brzezinski, of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," address ways to tackle Americans' insatiable appetites, one of the nation's obstacles to eating healthier.

Smith will be discussing her own journey of weight loss and America’s need to be educated about the power food industry has over the choices we make about food and our eating patterns.

Copies of "Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction – And My Own" will be available for purchase. A portion of the sales will be donated to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
