Agent Sees Houses in Her Dreams

Working seven days a week for her clients isn’t quite enough for Gloria Marwell. “I dream about my houses and my clients at night,” she says, and that just about sums up the effort Gloria puts into her job.  “I don’t just sell houses – I’m like a concierge in a hotel. I have lists of service providers, tradespeople, and I know everything about our town.” Gloria Marwell offers her clients a total package.

According to Gloria, the market in Greenwich is starting to pick up again.  “International clients are buying high end properties, and we have New Yorkers moving out of the city, as well as corporate moves,” she explains, noting that sales this year have doubled over the same period in 2009.  “Greenwich is an exceptional town,” she continues, “We have everything. The beaches and five town harbors where you can dock your boat at a reasonable price. Top tier restaurants where you can get a meal after 8 p.m. The finest shopping.”  Most of all, Gloria emphasizes the fact that Greenwich is a safe town, with little crime.

Gloria began her professional life in educational sales.  A few years in the financial world followed and then real estate beckoned.  “I bought my first house when I was 29 – it made sense then to buy rather than rent – and I was hooked by the whole real estate thing,” she says.  Since that first house, she has owned 18 homes, and she shows no sign of losing interest.
