Neighborhoods In Greenwich Rank Among The Best Places To Live In CT

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Several neighborhoods in the Greenwich area were ranked among the best places to live in Connecticut by community analysis website Niche.

Niche compiled data across dozens of metrics including Higher Education Rate, Cost of Living Diversity, Crime and Safety, Jobs and Nightlife. The company then distilled these metrics into letter grades.

Old Greenwich ranked third, Greenwich ranked ninth, Riverside came in at 14th, Cos Cob ranked 15th, Pemberwick was No. 32, Glenville No. 35 and Byram was ranked 38th. 

New Canaan was the highest rated municipality in Fairfield County and placed behind only Simsbury throughout the state.

Other Fairfield County towns in the top 50 included:

  • Ridgefield, No. 8
  • Darien, No. 12
  • Wilton, No. 16
  • Westport, No. 17
  • Redding, No. 20
  • Fairfield, No. 21
  • Southport, No. 23

  • Trumbull, No. 37
  • Bethel, No. 47
  • Brookfield, No. 48.
