Greenwich's Judge Judy Is TV's Highest-Paid Personality

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The ruling is in: Greenwich resident Judith Sheindlin, best known as "Judge Judy," is once again television's highest-paid personality thanks to her widely syndicated daytime courtroom show, according to TV Guide.

Sheindlin raked in $47 million from her show, making her far and away the highest-paid personality on television. Jon Stewart, host of the late-night news satire "The Daily Show," followed with $30 million.

Sheindlin also owns one of the priciest homes in Greenwich. Her Round Hill Road estate is was assessed by the town at $20.9 million in this year's grand list.

She topped other big TV personalities such as Jay Leno, David Letterman, Matt Lauer, Howard Stern and Ashton Kutcher in earnings.
