Starting Oct. 18, families will be able to borrow Bruce Moose Activity Packs for free from the front desk and then use them while they are visiting the galleries.
“Bruce Moose Activity Packs are designed to help you and your child explore the museum's galleries in a fun and hands-on way,” says Laura Stricker, the museum’s manager of youth and family programs. “Each pack contains four to five objects and activities that will encourage more looking, more learning and more discoveries.”
The first Bruce Moose Activity Pack will go along with the museum’s newest exhibition, "Charles Harold Davis (1856-1933): Mystic Impressionist."
The pack contains a variety of activities, including “Mystic Memory,” a card game using Davis’ paintings in memory card format, and “Cloud Exploration,” an activity that takes advantage of Davis’ penchant for painting clouds and encourages children to pay close attention to the clouds in his paintings and the clouds we see outside every day.
