Live here long enough and you surely know about Tigin Irish Pub in Stamford (where St. Patrick's Day events go from March 14 to 17) or O'Neill's Pub & Restaurant in Norwalk, where, starting March 15, you'll find live Irish music, along with a special breakfast buffet, a pipes and drum performance and some two-stepping from the Lenihan School of Irish Dance.

March 14, Irish Step Dancing, Pequot Library, Southport: Get jiggy with it when beginning at 10:45 a.m. when the Lenihan School of Irish Dance puts on a costumed and spirited performance -- and invites you to join along. March 14, The Blarney Season, Bijou Theatre, Bridgeport: Traditional and modern Irish music is on tap at the Bijou, where The Blarney Session, with special performances by the Irish Step Dance Team from Connecticut Dance, will perform at 7 p.m. Nine different instruments are played during every performance, including banjo, mandolin, tin whistle and bodhran. March 15, Parish Hall at Wilton Episcopal and Presbyterian Church Complex, Wilton: The Festival Chorus and Jubilate Ringers will perform "Give Us a Dance Then," a suite of Irish dances arranged for handbells starting at 3 p.m. You'll also hear traditional Irish songs such as "Carrickfergus," and "Tis the Last Rose of Summer." March 20, Ireland Tour Benefit Concert, First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, Fairfield: Cheer on 10 local high school students before they head to Ireland to perform at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
