Greenwich Town Party and "Greenwich Town Party Rocks the Avenue:" Starts at 10 a.m. and noon. The festivities for the third annual Greenwich Town Party begin at 10 a.m., culminating with a performance by Grammy-winner James Taylor. Non-ticket holders can attend the new free "Greenwich Town Party Rocks the Avenue" in the Board of Education Building parking lot, starting at noon. Roger Sherman Baldwin Park and 290 Greenwich Avenue. Party tickets are sold out. "Rocks the Avenue" is free.

Byram Fire Truck Parade 2 p.m. Byram celebrates Memorial Day with a fire truck parade from Delavan Avenue to Mead Avenue to William Street to South Water Street to Mill Street to Mead to the Byram Shubert Library. Free.
Monday, May 27
Threads & Treads Jim Fixx Memorial Day Run 8:15 a.m. The 49th annual Jim Fixx 5-mile run is hosted by Threads and Treads. Kids run a half-mile track. Greenwich Senior Center. 299 Greenwich Ave. Cost is $25 adults, $15 kids.
Sound Beach Fire Department Memorial Day Parade: 9 a.m. Old Greenwich celebrates Memorial Day with its annual parade down Sound Beach Avenue from Laddins Rock Road to Shore Road, ending at Binney Park. Free.
