The show will take place at the society's Vanderbilt Education Center, 39 Strickland Road, Cos Cob. The performances will be at 1 and 3 p.m.

The tale of the Snow Maiden, told in Russia for hundreds of years, is about a little girl sculpted entirely of snow, magically brought to life to the delight of a childless couple that embraces her as their own -- but will love be enough when spring comes?

The audience will have an opportunity to participate during the performance and to examine the puppets after the show.

Admission to the performances is $10 for members of the historical society and $15 for non-members.

To purchase tickets, call 203-869-6899, Ext. 10, or visit the historical society's website.
