The two-hour workshop will be led by MacInspires and kids can learn how to use Arduino, a simple computer that can sense and control more of the physical world than your normal desktop computer.
An Arduino can be programmed to recognize the sound of a knock at the door and then unlatch the lack, or can be used to develop interactive objects, like a light that turns on and off. It's a great tool to bring technological projects to life.
Children will learn the basics of the code programming languages and MacInspires will bring the Adruino kits to allow students to use them. This is a registered program. Creations and kits used during this workshop are for library use only.
The program will be held from noon to 2 p.m. This program is part of Create@GreenwichLibrary, a series designed to foster creative and collaborative learning for all ages. The library is located at 101 West Putnam Ave.
