"We specialize in infant and children's clothing size newborn to size 12, toys, baby gear, maternity clothes and more," said Annie Schreck, who co-founded the event with her sister Mary Slaugenhoup. They were both stay-at-home moms, looking to save money while enjoying the experience of shopping for their children, and they saw potential for a business.
"The event is a great opportunity for families to cash in on the things their children have outgrown and get the things their children need at bargain prices," Schreck continued. "We only have the sale twice a year so we recommend keeping a running list of what's needed and designating a storage area for items that will be consigned."
Tuesday, April 12, 5-9 p.m. -- Volunteers will be given the first opportunity to shop the sale.
Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. -- Consignors will be able to shop that same night, as well.
Wednesday, 5-9 p.m. -- New moms and grandparents can attend a presale: register here. These shoppers can bring one guest.
Thursday, 7-10 p.m. -- The sale opens to the public and features a diaper drive: shoppers can gain entrance by bringing an unopened bag or box of diapers, or making a $10 donation to benefit a local nonprofit organization.
Friday, 5-9 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. -- Items registered as discount will be 50 percent off. At the end of the event, any unsold items registered as donate will be given to a local nonprofit organization.
"Shoppers can avoid long lines by signing up to volunteer and shop during the first day of presale," Slaugenhoup explained. Volunteer registration opened March 1, and a list of available shifts and job descriptions is now available online.
Consigners can start the tagging process at home, with the Tiny Tots online system. There's also now a Drop & Go feature, to save time during item drop-off.
The shop is located at 471 North St.
