Greenwich's Bruce Museum Presents Animals In Children’s Book Art

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Bruce Museum will present the exhibition "Wild Reading: Animals in Children's Book Art" beginning March 26.

The exhibit will explore the lives of both realistic and exaggerated wild animals in more than 30 original works by several artists, including Quentin Blake, Eric Carle, Wendell Minor and Maurice Sendak. 

Taxidermy specimens, including a fox, groundhog, rabbit, chipmunk, squirrel, raccoon, birds and insects, also will feature in the exhibition and be matched alongside works to emphasize the artistic techniques.
