The Festival runs rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18.
A strictly juried show drawing more than 70 artisans from across the country and Canada, the event features original handmade fine crafts that are available for purchase in every price range.
Visitors can browse among wearables that range from summer casuals to beautifully tailored hand-painted silk outfits or coats and hats for the cooler seasons.
Jewelry and accessories will include handbags and belts to accompany any style of garment. For the home and kitchen choices are broad: from table runners to quilts, kitchen and tableware in wood, glass and ceramics, fine furniture in wood and metal, or decorative pieces in all media.
What makes outdoor festivals so special, says Festival Director Sue Brown Gordon, is the fact that the artists themselves are present in their booths and happy to discuss, and in some cases demonstrate, their creative processes and working techniques. Most artists will also work with clients on custom orders.
