"Telling Amy’s Story," will be shown at 6:30 p.m. at Bow Tie Cinema, 2 Railroad Ave. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the theater. Contact Danielle Lebrando at 203-869-6501, ext. 106 or d.lebrando@ywcagreenwich.org for advance ticket sales.

The documentary tells the story of Amy Homan-McGee, a 33-year-old mother of two who was killed by her husband when she decided to leave him after suffering years of abuse.

The movie lays bare one woman’s experience with domestic violence -- and the many opportunities available to have altered its outcome.

There will be a post-screening conversation led by Suzanne Adam, director of YWCA domestic abuse services and Sgt. Brent Reeves, domestic violence investigations instructor and acting domestic violence liaison for the Greenwich Police Department.
