"While we regret having to do so, our primary concern is for the safety of the participants and the spectators. We did not feel it was prudent to hold the parade with the potential for significant snow and cold temperatures on Sunday," said Jim Dougherty of the Greenwich Hibernian Association, which sponsors the parade.
There will be no alternate date for the parade.
"Thank you all for your support in promoting the parade, we will be back in 2017 with a bigger and better parade," Dougherty said.
