On Sept. 16, the Essentrics and Classical stretch course will be offered to teach participants no-impact exercise routines to improve posture, relieve tension and lengthen muscles. The class is at 11 a.m. and is limited to 15 people. To register, call Health Librarian Sandra Chan at 203-625-6549.
On Sept. 17, the Connecticut Alzheimer's Association will present the program Know the Ten Signs of Early Dementia. This program will explore the differences between age-related memory loss and Alzheimer’s, as well as best practices to engage in when signs of the disease are detected. Attendees also will view video of real people facing the early stages of dementia, before a talk led by Tania Paparazzo of the Connecticut Alzheimer’s Association. No registration is required.
