The program entitled "Who Elected the Donors? Campaign Finance in the Age of Super PACs" will be held at the Greenwich Library in the Cole Auditorium on Tuesday, March 1 from 6:30 p.m. with refreshments and a book signing.
Speakers will include Michael Waldman, president of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, Karen Hobert Flynn, senior vice president of Common Cause, and State Rep. Livvy Floren (R-149).
Waldman will be available to sign copies of his new book, "The Fight to Vote." RSVP to ensure there will be an ample supply of Mr. Waldman’s books on hand.
The League of Women Voters has tirelessly advocated for campaign financing systems that protect the public’s right to know, combat undue influence, allow candidates to compete more effectively for public office and encourage maximum citizen participation in the political process.
