See a maple-tapping and syrup boiling demonstration and learn what goes into making the sweet stuff. The process of maple tapping is indigenous to the northern forests and an important part of local history.
During this time of year, the forest is just waking up from a long slumber, and a representative from the trust will talk about the clever ways plants and wildlife survive the winter.
The walking conditions are of a moderate difficulty with minimal uneven terrain.
Refreshments will be served.
The event is at the Lapham Preserve between 85 and 95 Richmond Hill Road, Greenwich. The cost is $20 per family for members and $35 per family for nonmembers.
