The festival will screen 31 films from June 4-7.
“We are so proud of our year one slate," said festival founders Carina Crain, Colleen deVeer and Wendy Reyes. “The diversity of the films and filmmakers really illustrate what we are trying to do with GIFF --bringing in as many perspectives as possible and sharing those with our community.”
Colin Hanks' documentary "All Things Must Pass" will screen June 5 with an opening night party to follow. Other special events include the Changemaker Gala, the Spotlight On event and an awards ceremony. The festival also will feature a series of panels on female filmmaking, sports, television and film finance.
