Greenwich Audubon Center Welcomes Birds Of Prey To Family-Friendly Event

GREENWICH, Conn. - The Audubon Center of Greenwich hosted a "Family Breakfast and Wildlife Show" on Sunday, Jan. 25, with Michelle Hips of the New Canaan Nature Center showing off a few of her wild friends.

Hips wowed the family-filled crowd with a red-tailed hawk, an American kestrel and a great-horned owl.

"Seeing animals in person is a special experience for a young child," said Jeff Cordulack, the center's events and communications manager. "It can create a lifelong memory."

Added Hips of showing the youngsters the birds of prey: "The kids think it's pretty much the coolest thing ever."
