Crohn’s And Colitis Foundation Fundraiser In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The annual “Focus on a Cure” fundraising reception, formerly known as “Cocktails for the Cause,” to help raise money and awareness for The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s Fairfield/Westchester chapter will be from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, March 5.

This year’s event will be at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, 1800 E. Putnam Ave., Old Greenwich. 

The event will honor Dr. Neal Schamberg, who will receive the Suzanne Rosenthal Humanitarian Award; Steven Mader, who will receive the Ochs Volunteer Award, and Nate Essigs, who will receive the Rising Star Award. 

Schamberg is a gastroenterologist from Greenwich who treats patients with Crohn’s and colitis and volunteers his time with CCFA as part of the chapter’s medical advisory committee and board of directors. 

Marder is the CCO of Hollywood.com, patient and advocate for the CCFA and its mission. 

Essigs, is a teenage patient from Connecticut. 

The event will showcase a new video featuring patients from the area and experts talking about the work CCFA is doing to help find treatments and cures. It will be followed by a live auction, where attendees will have the opportunity to make donations. 

In addition, attendees will be able to purchase raffles, one for a Peloton bike and one for a Chanel bag.
