Business Workshops Come To Greenwich Library

GREENWICH, Conn. – The Greenwich Library will offer a number of programs in the second half of February as part of a series aimed at increasing patrons’ knowledge of the business world.

The next scheduled events are set for Monday, Feb. 22.

From 6-8 p.m., a workshop will allow participants to understand the key metrics to growing a retail sales business.

The workshop is recommended for anyone thinking about starting a retail business.

Among the topics discussed will be the importance of branding, how to “make sense of the numbers,” how to learn from mega stores and how to achieve extraordinary customer service.

From 7-9 p.m. on Feb. 22, the library will host a World Affairs Forum called Great Decisions – The Koreas.

The event, which is open to the public at no cost, will feature Charles Armstrong, PhD, the Korea Foundation Professor of Korean Studies in the Department of History at Columbia University and the director of the Center for Korean Research at Columbia University.

From 10–11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, Bloomberg Terminal Training’s senior account manager Victoria Goodrick will train attendees on the library’s Bloomberg terminal.

Bloomberg Professional Service maintains a vast database used by financial professionals to obtain up-to-the-minute market news. Bloomberg Terminal Access Patrons should sign up for the program at the library’s main reference desk or call (203) 622-7910.

All programs are offered at no charge in the Library Meeting Room. The World Affairs Forum is to be held in the Cole Auditorium.
