The black-tie gala begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at 7:30 p.m.
The event will also include a concert performance by The Doo Wop Project, featuring Tony Award nominee Charl Brown and cast members from hit shows such as “Hairspray,” “Jersey Boys” and “Sister Act.” The group will perform a series of doo-wop hits and renditions of contemporary songs.
Valisia LeKae, a 2014 Grammy Award nominee for Best Musical Theater album and a 2013 Tony Award nominee for Best Lead Actress in a Musical, will serve as master of ceremonies. This Theater World Award winner has also appeared on Broadway in “The Book of Mormon,” “Ragtime” and “110 in the Shade.”
The Inner-City Foundation For Charity & Education has awarded more than $26 million in grants to organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, Cardinal Shehan Center and Caroline House.
