GREENWICH, Conn. – Danielle E. Luzzo, D.C., M.S., owner of Greenwich Chiropractic & Nutrition, LLC, has announced the addition of Amara Reynolds, D.C., to her practice.

Reynolds is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, where she earned her doctorate degree in chiropractic with magna cum laude honors.

Reynolds specializes in a groundbreaking soft-tissue method called Active Release Technique (ART.)

"It is an honor for me to join Dr. Luzzo in bringing the benefits of chiropractic care to the community,” Reynolds said. “I look forward to helping my patients achieve optimum wellness and to lead active, healthy lives.”

ART represents the very latest in cutting-edge, soft-tissue system/movement-based techniques, and is used to treat complaints related to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

ART practitioners evaluate the tightness of the muscle, how the muscle moves and the surrounding tissue; abnormalities are treated by combining precise, direct tension with specific patient movements, Luzzo said.

ART can help patients who may not respond to traditional conservative treatment. ART also helps with headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee pain, tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.

“It specifically appeals to athletes of all levels who want to improve their game, with runners being a top field that seek out ART treatments. It’s like a stretching technique but very specific, with a lot of good outcomes,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds’ work will complement that of Luzzo, a board-certified chiropractor and nutritionist offering nonsurgical chiropractic treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological complaints.

At Greenwich Chiropractic & Nutrition, Luzzo also provides individualized nutrition counseling because, she said, “many health/pain-related conditions have a direct correlation with dietary habits.

"I’ve seen an increased interest amongst my patients in pursuing more conservative treatments for complaints -- that is, a focus on wellness, which includes eating better, increased physical activity and reducing medications and invasive techniques to solve complaints. We also tailor our treatments to the individual, and often work closely with other local physicians to achieve optimal results.”
