The Academy is a 15-month paid program designed to train college graduates as investment professionals for his $10 billion fund, businessinsider.com said.
The academy program launched in August, and only 12 of 400 applicants were accepted for its first year. Spots are already filling up for next year's class, businessinsider.com said.
Cohen, who is worth $12 billion, was forced to shut down his Stamford-based SAC Capital hedge fund after pleading guilty to insider-trading charges. His fortune took a hit in that case: He paid out $1.8 billion to cover SAC's penalties.
